bodyy: "[Veto] was perfect for us"

Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro shared a few words about the convincing victory over fnatic in the semi-finals versus fnatic.

G2 have made another grand final in London, as they defeated fnatic in a two-map series, which also included the Swedish lineups' worst result so far, a 2-16 bashing on Overpass.

bodyy agrees the veto was perfect for G2

We grabbed the team's newest addition, Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro, for a short interview about the semi-final and found out who G2 would like to meet in the grand final.

Obviously the veto was quite surprising, I don't think anyone expected fnatic to pick Overpass, why do you think they did?

We were like "Why did they pick Overpass against us?", because we were practising it a lot and we're pretty strong on it, so we didn't expect them to pick the map. It was perfect for us, because after, we played Dust2 and it was a map we appreciate as well.

Looking at Overpass, why was it that one-sided in the end?

We played our game and we knew how to play it, we knew they were favourites over us, so we just said "Let's play ballsy, let's play our game and destroy them". And that's what happened.

Then on Dust2, fnatic was up about 8-4, but you managed to claw back especially as CT, was there something you changed?

I don't think we changed our playstyle, we just executed badly what we wanted to do, and then we re-focused, we weren't very focused at the beginning. It went our way because the headshots came in and we played well individually.

Lastly, your final opponent will be either TSM or Luminosity, do you have a preference?

We'd prefer to meet Luminosity, because we have a revenge to take against them and we're in London again, so it would be amazing. We can definitely take it.
